Virginia Tan

Founding & General Partner

Virginia is one of Asia's leading thought leaders on gender and technology, having co-founded She Loves Tech, the world's largest startup competition for women and technology. Virginia is also the founder of Lean In China, one of the country's leading platforms for women with over 100,000 members.

Virginia’s background was in law and finance at two magic circle firms, Allen and Overy and Clifford Chance, focusing on investments in emerging markets and has covered more than USD30 billion worth of commercial transactions.

Mei Tong

General Partner

Mei is a senior private equity executive and industry insider for cross-border consumer investment, particularly in the China consumer market. She was formerly at two white-shoe PE firms in China, leading cross-border investment in personal care, consumer and mother & baby sectors.

Mei was formerly the VP of Strategy and M&A at Walmart China, and led the acquisition of Yihaodian.com. She also served as company spokesperson, Group Treasurer and Director of Corporate Development for Kimberly Clark China.

Michael Cui

Partner

Michael is a cross border VC investor specializing in big data and machine learning. He has 10+ years of cross border venture investing experience in the US and China and is former Vice President of Lebox Capital, a venture capital fund investing in companies with data driven machine models in China and USA.

Michael's background is as a computer engineer focusing on machine learning and artificial intelligence and he led entrepreneurial and technology ecosystem building for Peking University's BIMBA business school.

Lena is Chairman and Managing Director of New World Capital Advisors. She is also the Director of Berjaya Retail and Berjaya Credit, and former Chairman of 7-11 Malaysia.
